Friday
We depart from London on Friday evening at 18.30 and head off to the fresh air and beautiful countryside of Wales. The trip to the 'land of song' gives you time to familiarise yourself with your guide and the rest of your group, and tuck in to the cooler-box full of cool drinks. We arrive at our hostel in the pretty beach village of Llanstephan in Carmarthenshire the Garden of Wales, where we rest ourselves ready for an action packed fun fuelled weekend. For the die-hards, the bar is open upon arrival with Tequilas at £1 a shot !
Saturday
Wakey Wakey ! After sampling a Welsh breakfast, we explore the local Llanstephan Castle, before a visit to Dylan Thomas' Boat House, the famous Welsh poet and bard. Then we discover the famous cathedral city of St. David's and St. Non's Well with it's beautiful cathedral and ruinous Bishops Palace and to have some lunch, before starting your Adventure Activity. If you do not wish to participate then we can arrange a peaceful beach walk. Then on to the magical Preseli Mountains (source of the Stonehenge Bluestones) to view the 5,000 year old Pentre Ifan Neolithic Burial Chamber. In the evening we have a traditional Welsh dinner in local valley village and then you can choose either to party the night away with a visit to Wales' smallest pub (sample a pint of Brains!) or return weary to our warm hostel to chill in Welsh serenity. Don't forget to look up at the stars and enjoy the zero light pollution !
Sunday
We head for a beautiful walk in the Brecon Beacons National Park, a visit to the Big Pit coal mine tour in the Welsh Valleys area, the true land of song. We arrive back in London at about 20.30, after a great weekend.
Whatever the weather - we always have a good time !
